Khorne is a team that I know relatively little about. I never played Blood Bowl 1and besides, it's already been in a Cyanide game, right? But it's also far too interesting a team to skip outright. Hopefully you like Frenzy, because these players have a whole lot of it

70K Rerolls

Wow, there is a lot to talk about here. The natural place to start is with the lineman of the team, the Pit Fighter. This player has the same stat line and price as a Beastman, but it's traded Horns for Frenzy and Strength and Mutation access for Passing! This lets the Pit Fighter develop into a natural ball retriever as well as relieve some of the team's high price point by taking a budget reroll with leader. Along with Frenzy, it also makes it a team where taking Dump Off and Nerves of steel might actually be worthwhile. I mean, probably not, but maybe!

Next we have the Bloodletters AKA the only player on the whole damn team who doesn't have frenzy. These Daemons have traded a point of armour for regen, making them less likely to stay on the field and more likely to survive after the inevitable armour break. By the way, yes, this is an Apo team. With Khorne, you get regen AND an Apo.

Anyway, this player has access everything but passing (and mutations) on normals, putting them in the same perview as Vampires and Kislev Blitzers. Natural blodge and no frenzy make them obvious choices for ball carriers, while built in horns, juggernaut and Strength access is ideal for a dedicated blitzer. Your options are limited only to your imagination and your dice.

The Herald is a player that takes the best parts of the Pit Fighter and the Bloodletter and combines them into one dedicated killing machine. If your Bloodletters aren't blitzers, then your Khorne Heralds certainly will be. Let the POMBing begin!

Last of all is Metal's favourite Big Guy, the legendary Bloodthirster This beast has been optimized to be the most perfect big-guy killer imaginable, with plenty of movement, high armour and built in claw. Sure, it doesn't have any other redeming features, but what else do you need when you're this sort of specialized killing machine?

Wrapping Things Up

Given my inexperience with the team I'll skip my usual second section and jumps traight to the end.

Khorne is a clawless (Big Guys don't count) bash team that's built for blitzing and surfing key positionals. It is a naturally bloaty team, with many expensive players, but has more than enough strenght access for guard spam and plenty of horns and frenzy for breaking through into hard to reach areas. It is also a team that can deal the hurt better than it can take it. It has mediorce armour and is heavily reliable on blitzes to provide things like strength in the form of horns and safety in the form of Juggernaut.

All told, this is probably not the best team in the game, or even the best bash team, but it's one of the most conceptually interesting ones and I think the game would certainly be inproved by it's inclusion. Hell, if Cyanide add Khorne but not Simyan, I might even follow Metal's example and reroll into it.
